CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has started registration for the 18th Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET 2024. Eligible candidates can apply online for CTET 2024 examination on their official website ctet.nic.in. CTET 2024

Central Teachers Eligibility Test CTET 2024 Exam Date:

Interested candidates should note the CTET 2024 will be conducted on 21 January 2024 in two shifts at the examination centers selected by CBSE in various districts. The first shift Exam will be held for Paper-1 from Morning 9:30 AM to 12 PM and the second shift exam will be taken for Paper-2 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates are advised to arrive at least one hour before the entry.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria, Who can apply for CTET 2024:

(Paper-1 and Paper -2 -Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.”
-Candidates enrolled in a Teaching Training Course (TTC) are treated as “Pursuing” and are eligible to apply for the exam.

Age LimitMinimum Age- 17 years.
Maximum Age- No limit. 

CTET 2024 Examination Pattern :

There will be two Examination papers for CTET 2024.

Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIIII.

Candidates who wish to be teachers for both classes I to V and classes VI toVIII are advised to apply for both Paper-I and Paper-II:

  • CTET Paper I Pattern (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage; Duration of examination-Two-and-a-half hours Structure and Content (All Compulsory):
(i) Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory)30 MCQs30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compul sory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs30 Marks
Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks
  • CTET Paper II Pattern (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage; Duration of examination-Two-and-a-half hours Structure and Content (All Compulsory): (Appendix I)
(i) Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory)30 MCQs30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics and Science (for Maths and Science Teacher) 60 MCQs 60 Marks
(v) OR Social Studies/Social Science (Social Studies/Social Science teacher)
Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks

Minimum Cutoff to Clear CTET 2024 and Validation of Marks:

QUALIFYING MARKS for CTET 2024 AND AWARD OF CTET CERTIFICATE:

  • As per NCTE Notification No.76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad dated 11.02.2011: A person who scores 60% or
    more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.
  • School management government, local bodies, government aided and unaided) may consider
    giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS as per reservation policy.
  • The certificate and Marksheet obtained in this CTET examination will be valid for a lifetime. However, you can give another attempt to improve your marks.

CTET 2024 Examination Fees:

For CTET Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2024, following are the fees as per the categories:

How to Apply Online for CTET 2024: CTET Registration Process step-by-step:

  • Step 1: First, you need to visit the official website of CTET January 2024 ‘ON-LINE’ through https://ctet.nic.in.
  • Step 2: You need to complete the registration process,Fill in the Online Application Form and note down system-generated Registration No./Application No.
  • Step 3: Now, you can pay the examination fees using Internet Banking, and Debit Card/Credit Card options.
  • Step 4: After payment, take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
